We are looking for developers with experience in low-level and/or security-related development to focus on building secure and novel systems. We want experienced developers to be hands on building complex systems, not just managing projects where other people get to do the fun stuff. If you’re finding your career inevitably sliding towards management, rather than doing the hands-on coding you love, then we’ve got roles for you.
As a Cyber-focused developer we would like you to:
- Understand how your code works at a low level, all the way down to bare metal if necessary.
- Be happy to work in whatever language and platform is required to get the job done - expect to be learning new things all the time!
- Work within a team, happy sharing your knowledge and skills with both junior and senior team members alike.
- Focus on building clear, high quality code that works and helping others reach the same standard.
- Get involved in research occasionally. Our work often involves discovering the art of the possible first, and then building something to exploit that discovery. So even as a developer you're going to be helping find out new things and then build tools around them.
We are looking for:
- Proven experience in software engineering between 5 and 10 years, with a focus on low-level and/or security related development.
- Significant experience with at least one native development language such as C, C++, Zig or Rust
- Experience in delivery with projects finished and delivered across a range of platforms and solutions.
- A broad knowledge of security concepts.
- Experience with a range of platforms.
- A willingness to learn and teach deep technical concepts to and from your peers.
- Commitment to help us grow Foundry Zero and make sure it’s a fantastic place to work; tell us when we’re wrong and what we can do better!

This role is UK based and requires a UK security clearance. Applicants must therefore be British citizens and be happy to undergo the checks required to attain the necessary clearance.
